Autoflowering seeds are seeds that are crossed with a Ruderalis strain.
The name “ruderalis” comes from the word ruderal, a term for plant species that first grow in places that have been changed by humans or nature.
Ruderal species, for example, grow alongside the road or on fallow agricultural land. The THC content of a Ruderal species contains much less THC than we are used to but also has a much shorter flowering time of around 2 to 3 weeks.
By crossing an Indica or a Sativa with a Ruderal type you get a fast flowering variety with a high THC production and substantial top formation. Especially because the plant blooms quickly, it is possible to complete several harvests in one season.
